Job Description: Vault Minerals is looking for a qualified Drill & Blast Engineer – Open Pit to join our team at the King of the Hills Gold Mine. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering effective drill and blast plans for open pit operations. Your duties will include developing blast designs, managing tie-ins, and overseeing the reporting and reconciliation of blast performance and conditions. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing optimisation of the mining operation, ensuring safe and efficient blasting practices that support the overall success of the mine. This role is offered on a 8/6-  FIFO from Perth.Key responsibilities will include:Promote and maintain a culture of safety, adhering to Vault Minerals' safety standards.Deliver detailed drill and blast designs, including drill plans, blast masters, reconciliation plans, and tie-in plans to the Open Pit mining contractor.Develop and improve data tracking and reconciliation systems for all Drill & Blast functions.Provide engineering support to Geologists, Mine Surveyors, planners, and contractors.Assist in streamlining reporting systems and generating conceptual improvement plans.Conduct software and planning gap analysis and provide data analysis as required.Monitor engineering systems and business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.Support site initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and assist with operational activities.Contribute to the ongoing management and improvement of mining data and planning systems.Collaborate with the Mining team to enhance drill and blast engineering processes, focusing on safety, cost, and production efficiency.About you:You are a results-driven Drill & Blast Engineer with strong expertise in open pit operations. You excel in designing and executing drill and blast plans, ensuring safe and effective blasting practices that optimise mining performance. With a solid technical background, you apply your skills to resolve complex challenges and improve blast effectiveness. You are adept at analysing blast results and reconciling performance data to drive continuous improvement.
